Alfalfa: Queen of the Forages: Producing Food for millions while healing the environment.
Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) is the world’s most important leguminous forage that feeds millions of souls while providing tremendous environmental benefits.
The National Alfalfa & Forage Alliance, the California Alfalfa & Forage Association, and the University of California, Davis is proud to sponsor the 2021 Third International Alfalfa Congress to be held in San Diego, CA in the Fall of 2021. The first was held in Bengbu, China, second in Cordoba, Argentina.
Please join us with guests and speakers from around the world for this important international Alfalfa meeting to discuss the latest research information as well as to learn from experts and businesses from around the world.
VISION: To provide top-level knowledge-sharing, opportunity for scientific interaction, grower-relevant outreach, and opportunity for commercial interaction from participants from many parts of the world on the subject of alfalfa production and utilization and alfalfa improvement. Special emphasis on the current and potential contributions of alfalfa landscapes to environmental health and methods of sustainable, profitable crop production.
Translations: Since this is an international meeting, translations will be provided in a number of languages. Priorities include: Spanish, Chinese, French, German, Italian, possibly Arabic. A minimum number of attendees would be needed to guarantee translations (likely about 10).
Attendees: Expected to be 450-800.
Commercial Exhibits: We expect exhibits to be approximately 80-110.
Scientific Posters: A poster session will be developed, since not all subjects can be a part of the main session. Important to allow posters since there will likely be lots of volunteered talks that can’t be placed on program.
