Imperial Valley
Imperial Valley, about 2 hours from San Diego, is one of the most productive irrigated agricultural regions in the world, with alfalfa a key part of the landscape.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. To discuss scientific evidence relevant to, and communicate to the public about, the environmental benefits and impacts of alfalfa to agricultural landscapes
  2. To provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge and information between countries on alfalfa production, science, industry and utilization
  3. To provide a venue for outreach with the farm and industry members on alfalfa development, production, genetics, breeding
  4. To further an international vision for the future of this important world crop
